Very nearly there

Not too far to go now. Just finished the guestbook script, which still has a few issues I want to sort out. All that remains to be done is the downloads and links page. Both of which I might rehash anyway. Then I just have to build the admin backend, so I don't have to enter news entries manually, in a SQL statement.Pics of nice shiney mp3 player are on their way - promise, along with a bunch of cool things I've been experimenting with recently.

Ok, I know I said this that and the other....

Interestingly, it's been a while. I've been up to a few things, and now I'm in Cambridge. The reason I'm in Cambridge? Why it's May Week of course!

For those that I'm sure do know but forgot, this is the time of year when Cambridge goes and gets drunk. Sadly, I'm not here for the whole week, just the weekend part of it (couldn't get time off work...), but hopefully that'll be enough. There's a lot of people shouting outside - I think they're rowers and possibly merry.I'm still sticking to my promise. I'll put my mini-thoughts bit on my mp3 player up soon. Very very soon. The reason I'm delaying is manyfold:

  1. I'm busy
  2. Not all of the site works yet
  3. I still might think of bits that I want to change

Anyway, like I said, soon.Very soon.

Just a little tiny test, to make sure everything works.....

Things changing. Finally.

Right, well, I'm doing a bit of a revamp to this site. You may have noticed that it changes what it looks like. Basically, it's going to do this once every hour. I'll make up more styles as I think of them, but there are three basic ones for now. I'm also working on the admin side a little bit, so hope to have that working by the end of the weekend.

Hurray

Raining :(

Shineyness!!!!

As promised, here goes. Cool stuff that I got cheap from New York:

It's fab. Everyone should get one. Stuff the Ipod. This holds 5Gb, is cheaper than the Ipod mini 4Gb, and is actually smaller. And you don't have to use whatever piece of crap software that Apple have decided to throw up today which means there's no danger of deleting everything by mistake. You just plug it in, and it comes up as a removable drive, so you can put pretty much anything you like on it. The back is also rather shiney:

And just to prove exactly how shiney, I turned the flash off.

OOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.............

So there we go, now everyone can stop complaining :)

Goodbye, happy office

Well, the day has arrived. This is the day when I say goodbye to Fleet Street as my place of work, and hello to Canary Wharf. The entire company is relocating, and this weekend is my department's big move. A lot of people have gone already, and as a result, this building has a super-efficient network which no-one is using. Oh well.

So, there's not a lot to do today, other than sit around, wait for boxes to turn up to put stuff in (were meant to be here on Tusday), and wait for labels to put things on (we don't have enough).

This is meant to be a "very smooth clockwork-like operation". Pah.
