Nothing going on over here,Nothing going on over there,I just got out of bed,And now I'm making lunch.
Sorry it doesn't rhyme. I didn't try.
In other news, I got a job. It's a dull job, but it does that important thing which all jobs do - it pays money. And that's something I've not had for a good 3 years now. To be fair, I still won't have it in a month's time, but at least I will owe the bank slightly less money. It's also coming up to be that time of the year when the annual Pembroke College Choir Tour gets organised. I did it last year, people may remember, and I'm not doing it all this year, thank god. My argument is that I have better things to do such as get this company I started up and running, and look for a job, and other important stuff.
Got up at 5 this morning. Well, that's not entirely true. I woke up at 5, was asleep 30 seconds later, and then got up 35 minutes after that. Although that said, at 2pm, I'd done a full days work, so now I'm freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Until 9, when I get back into bed.
Off to the Lake District at some point this week. I decided I needed a holiday, and the opportunity for one arose. Not been to the lakes in a long long time, so I'm quite looking forward to seeing what climbing (and descending) lots of hills is like. Add to that the fact that the area is insanely pretty, and it'll probably rain lots, and you get a fun filled time :)
In other news, a bank was recently spotted giving me money. It is with this that I have bought my latest "toy": The DI box.
Back at work now. Involves getting up rather early as before and trying to work for 8 hours. That said, the discovery of nice free bike jump in local woods is a good thing to go and do for a few hours afterwards.
Off to London on Saturday, Edinburgh 8 days after that. Yay!
Woah, back in Kent for a whole 2 hours to sort out a mild publicity crisis for Jazzmatazz. Off back up to London in a bit to carry on rehearsals for this week, which are going quite well. Have to be up at 3:30 on Sunday morning to catch the early flight up to Edinburgh though, which won't exactly be fun.
I'm in Gatwick airport now. My flight is at 7am tomorrow, and the airport is the cheapest hotel I can think of, because it's free. Add to that my uncanny ability to sleep anywhere, in any position (including standing up - that one takes a bit of practice) means that I'll be snoozing on a chair somewhere this evening.Once we get to Edinburgh, we have to do a tech rehearsal in the space of 4 hours. I should explain something here.
Tech rehearsals all have at least two things in common:
They never start on time.
They last for about 3 times as long as expected.
Tomorrow will (apparently) be an exception as we will be charged at about £10 per minute that we run over our time. This might not be absolutely accurate, but gives you an idea of the fact that it'll be expensive. A tech that runs on time and in the time period allowed will be a strange novelty, to be swept away and to become something of a legend.
